Belt selector

With a wide choice of materials and compositions, Nitta can offer you a solution that fits in perfectly with your application.

Material composition

A conveyor belt is made from one or more plies of fabric and plastic. The fabric can be made of natural yarns (e.g. cotton) and artificial yarns (e.g. polyester). The materials used in the plastic layers can include PVC, PU, PE, polyolefins, Hytrel and silicones.

Stability and resistance suited to the application

The material to be used is often determined by the application, but requirements for food safety, flame retardance, wear resistance or chemical resistance, for example, can also play a part. The stability of a conveyor belt is also important for the application. Some instances require flexibility, so fabrics that are not laterally stable are used. Laterally-stable fabrics in various configurations and grades are often used, enabling a belt’s stability to be matched exactly to the process. The Nitta support and sales team will be pleased to help you find the right conveyor belt solution.
